Walk-up Registration Saturday May 18th!!!!

KYF will be having its third walk-up registration on Saturday, May 18th, from 10am to 3pm at Morton Ranch Elementary School. This will be the last day for RETURNERS to be guaranteed a spot on their last years team and the last day you can pick your jersey numer. The registration will be set up in the cafeteria. Enter at the back of the school across from the High School Practice Fields .

Bring your sons and daughters and meet the KYF board members, sign up for football or cheer, get your child fitted for a uniform, learn about our fall camps and KYF equipment options - all at one convenient location.

KYF® 2013 FALL FOOTBALL REGISTATION IS NOW OPEN!!!!

KATY YOUTH FOOTBALL® is a 34 Year Katy Tradition!   Join the league that has been "Doin' It For The Kids" for over 34 years in the Katy and surrounding communities with participation rates as high as 2,500 children per season. KYF filters local youth to Katy high schools and onto State Championships! We strive to set a solid foundation of sportsmanship, football fundamentals and lifelong friends. All games are played on Saturdays at the Morton Ranch Complex. Registration for football players includes complete uniform of home and away jerseys, pants, mouthpiece and NFL team helmet decal (tackle players only). Some of the NFL teams represented are the Bears, Broncos, Buccaneers, Cardinals, Colts, Cowboys, Dolphins, Falcons, Giants, Jets, Packers, Patriots, Ravens, Saints, Steelers, Texans and Titans just to name a few. Don't miss out! NEWS FLASH:   This will be the last year to pick your jersey number. Remember, all numbers are first come first served and NO number is guaranteed. Numbers will be assigned, as requested, in the order of registration.Starting in 2014, all returning players will keep their existing number as long as they return to the same team. In 2014, all new players will be assigned a random number by the league. This will facilitate our uniform process, and will end some of the infighting we have seen develop over the last couple years to attain certain numbers. So, register early and secure your number now! Once your number is assigned it will be secure for life as long as your player remains on the same team. Just like last season, Katy Youth Football will be offering an Early Bird Registration rate of $150. Early Bird Registration will be from the day online registration opens until midnight on April 14th only, so please do not delay in getting your players registered! Effective April 15th, the Regular Registration rate of $175 will apply. This rate will be offered until June 30th. Starting July 1st, Late Registration will begin with the rate of $200. All rates apply to players in 1st through 6th grade tackle.   JR FLAG (Pre-K & K) Football & Cheer Rates   For Jr Flag football players, their rate will be $150 from March to the end of June. Starting July 1st, Late Registration rates for Jr Flag will be $175. For Pre-K and K Cheer, $120 for returning cheerleaders reusing their uniform, $150 for all new cheerleaders needing a uniform. These rates will be valid through June 30th. For late registration beginning July 1st, those rates will increase to $145 (returning cheerleaders, reusing their uniform) and to $175 (all new cheerleaders needing a uniform).

7th Grade Cheer Just like last year, KYF will be offering 7th grade cheer this season. We do realize that not all who tryout at the junior high level make the squad. This is an opportunity for your cheerleader to continue to do something they love. The registration details are similar to 6th grade cheer. Your cheerleader cannot be age 13 by September 1, 2013. Things You Need To Know For Fall League

We get tons of great questions throughout the registration period. Here are some things to know about the upcoming season and may hopefully clear some things up.

• We offer a 9 week game schedule, plus the possibility of 3 additional games for playoffs (depends on your division). If your team makes it the the Turf Bowl, your player/cheerleader will have the unique opportunity to play the big game at RHODES STADIUM!! We are are the only league that offers that kind of opportunity!!

• Practice begins the week of August 1st for all teams, both football and cheer. No practices should be taking place before that date. Teams are allowed up to 8 hours of practice until the week of August 26th. Starting August 26th, teams are allowed 6 hours of football, 4 hours of practice and 2 hours for their game per week.

• Practice locations, days and times are determined by the coach and will be discussed with you once the coach receives his rosters (in July).

• All games are played on Saturdays at the Morton Ranch complex. Games begin Saturday September 7th.

• Each football team is required a minimum sponsorship of $500 and each cheer team is required a minimum sponsorship of $300. This can come in the form of one or several company sponsorships, or a team collection. Sponsor funds are essential assets needed by KYF to cover expenses. Registration fees do not cover the multitude of expenses KYF incurs to provide Katy Style Youth Football. We rely on sponsorship revenue to keep our registration fees down

Team Placement For Fall League

All players are placed on teams based on what KISD school they attend. Our Team Matrix has three NFL teams attached to each KISD school. If the Primary Team is full for a certain KISD school, then your player will fall to the next team in line for your school, and so on. Our goal is to keep players together that live in the same area and attend the same schools. In rare occasions, a player is placed outside the matrix when there are no teams available. This usually happens when you sign up late and teams are full. It is first come, first serve. The earlier you register, the better chance of getting on your home team. All players outside KISD will be placed on a team in need, as close as possible to where they live. We do apologize, but we do not honor requests for certain teams. We place players per the Matrix.
